“This is my favorite practice weapon because it’s so much fun. I want to pass on everything that I know to the next generation, so they can build the art further. Remember, I’m not just a guy who plays with nunchucks; I’m a world-class martial artist who plays with nunchucks.”
About THis Site
This site is dedicated to sharing the art of nunchaku with anyone interested in learning it. Through a series of detailed video lessons, students are guided step-by-step through traditional kata, with demonstrations and explanations that break down each movement and technique. The goal is to make this knowledge accessible while preserving the structure, discipline, and creativity that define the practice of nunchaku, allowing students to study the forms carefully and develop real skill over time.
Alex’s Training
Alex trained for over thirty years under the renowned Grand Master Paul Sun of Northern Mantis Kung Fu. During that time he developed the precision, discipline, and competitive skill that led him to success at the highest levels of martial arts competition.
Alex has also pursued international and cross-disciplinary training to deepen his martial arts knowledge. In 2002, he trained in China at the prestigious Epo Lin Wushu Academy, studying traditional Chinese martial arts at its source. He has further expanded his skills through training with respected martial artists including Dan Inosanto, Royce Gracie, Professor Wally Jay, Gene LeBell, and Willie “BAM” Johnson.
